The aim of our project description is to take you and your corporation closer to the world of MotoStudent, to get acquainted with the hardworking members of the BME MotoStudent Team.
We would like to draw your attention to an unmatched offer: we believe, that as a future sponsor, you could aid us in achieving our goal, which is participating in the Spanish-originated MotoStudent competition in the 2015-2016 season.
Our purpose is to resurrect the historical Hungarian motorcycle racing, to cooperate with the most significant engineering corporations, and with the departments of our University, in order to increase the international reputation of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. We want to show the world:
This is what the next generation of engineers is capable of!
The first step towards reaching our future intentions is the development of our own electrical racing motorcycle, which is an unmatched technological innovation not only in Hungary, but even in the Central European region.
The team, which consists of several students from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, was founded in 2013 with the purpose of participating in the III. MotoStudent competition.
First, the teams have to pass the scrutineering phase and only after can they prove their skills in gymkhana and other challenges.
Our first motorcycle was introduced to the public in 2014, when we successfully competed thanks to our sponsors and committed teammates. This season, a new category was introduced: the teams now can develop a fully electric powered motorcycle.
The members of the BME MotoStudent team are mechanical and electric engineers, product designers and managers working on Bachelor or Masters Degrees. Currently more than 20 engineering and manager students are working on acquiring the adequate financial background, and producing an innovative, modern motorcycle after the development phase.
In the MotoStudent contest, several teams of University students from all over the world gather in order to compete against each other. The race takes place once every two years in Motorland Aragón, Spain, organized by the Spanish Moto Engineering Foundation.
The aim of the competition for the students is to design and build a prototype of a racing motorcycle, which they can compete both on track and on the economical side of the project with, by presenting their own business plan.
During the competition, the participants can show their creativity, apply the knowledge gained during their studies and improve their innovation skills in the development and production stage which lasts 3 semesters.
